From the supplier: Transportation Financial Systems has been ordered to pay $18 million in a workers compensation fraud case brought by the Texas Workers' Compensation Insurance Facility, Travelers Indemnity Co and the National Council on Compensation Insurance. By starting Transportation Financial Systems, Acme Truck Line Inc. hoped to avoid higher workers compensation premiums, based in Texas on a company's prior loss record. The two companies filed suit against Travelers when, after a protracted investigation, Travelers suspended their workers comp coverage.
